Orange achieves download speeds of more than 1.5 Gbps in Valencia with 4G +

The Orange network has exceeded download speeds of 1.5 Gbps over the 4G network , in tests carried out in Valencia. The achievement has been possible using Huawei Espana equipment integrated in the 4G + network Orange, specifically, an LTE solution has been deployed, based on the 3GPP LTE Advanced Pro standard.

Let's go ravelli!

Groucho: Come on, Ravelli, walk a little faster!

Boy: And so in such a hurry, boss? We're not going anywhere.

Groucho: In that case, let's run and finish at once.

Serve this delirious dialogue of the Marx Brothers as an illustration of this important advance starring Orange that accelerates, until recently unthinkable, our communications, we hope to take them somewhere. It will depend on the interest or affection that exists between sender and receiver.

As seen in the image, the average speed obtained by Orange and Huawei has been 1.54 Gbps a speed that, for example, would allow you to download a movie from Groucho and company in 26 seconds.

the orange network steps on the accelerator

This milestone has been made possible by technological advances on LTE-A (also called 4G +) such as:

  • Aggregation of 5 carriers in the frequencies of 800, 1800, 2600 and 3500 MHz.

  • Simultaneous use of FDD (Frequency Division Duplexing) and TDD (Time Division Duplexing).

  • MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) 4 x 4 (4 paths in Transmission, 4 in Reception)

  • Modulation 256QAM, which allows to send more bits in the same radio spectrum.

Some of these technologies used by Orange and Huawei (such as aggregation of multiple bands, or the use of TDD), together with massive MxO NxN, will be present in the fifth generation of 5G mobile telephony, whose standards are still under discussion.

At the moment there are no commercial terminals that support these speeds, but they are expected to be available from 2018.

traffic demand increases

The experience in Valencia is a demonstration of the growth capacity in download speed and capacity of 4G + networks for the next few years.Second, the demand for customer traffic increases, Orange expands the capacity of your 4G + network by adding carriers and using more radioelectric spectrum in the form of new frequency bands.

Currently, Orange's network in the main urban areas in Spain already has 2 4G carriers, or 3 in high-consumption areas or "hotspots." Over time, this capacity will go expanding to 4 or 5 carriers based on traffic demand.

This is one more step of Orange's commitment to the technological innovation of its network.Orange was the first operator in Spain to reach 570 Mbps in the mobile network and to offer symmetric 1Gbps in a commercial fiber network, both Milestones achieved in February this year.

Orange is especially well prepared for this growth in Spain due to the frequency bands of 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz acquired this year, which add up to the 4G spectrum in 800, 1800, 2600 and even 2100, now used for 3G. Depending on the state of the technological ecosystem (network and terminal equipment) available at the time of need, these new bands can be used in 4G or 5G.

Tecnophobia in the era of web 3.0, why?

Social media addict, willing to stand in line for hours to acquire the latest iPhone model that has gone on the market, geek of the cackling and lover of everything related to smart devices.more than one is familiar with this profile; a true technophile who has endorsed the boom that this sector has experienced over the past few years. However, it is not the only type of user that was born with the famous development of this sector, but it has also been done by another who points to the opposite side: the technophobic .We are referring to those who have a more complicated relationship with this discipline and who even have come to fear it .But how to identify them? What are the reasons for their fear? Today we address these and other issues. What is technobophy It is considered technophobia to rejection of progress in the technology sector , fear of progress and its supposed consequences, which can lead to ecological, social, ethical and health problems (precisely its argumen...
