Orange's new coverage map not only informs about the type of coverage (4G +, 4G, 3G +...) that is in a given locality, municipality or area but also offers the possibility to check the quality of that coverage, verified with real samples of clients that have been connected. Until now, all operators based their coverage maps on estimates obtained from theoretical calculations made with complex propagation models. The map reflects the real customer experience on the Orange network, based on anonymous data from 13 million real customer usage connections.To obtain this data, the company collaborates with Weplan, an independent company that collects information of operator coverage.
