Garbage Challenge, a viral challenge to clean up the planet

#BasuraChallenge or # trashchallenge is a viral challenge that has been circulating on the networks for some time and which, unfortunately, does not make the same case as other previous and much less inspiring.that the Garbage Challenge consists of taking a picture of a place full of trash , and then taking another image with the place already clean with the trash bags behind the person that I accept the challenge. In this way you can awaken some ecological awareness about the future of the planet and contribute with a simple action to improve your health, which is everyone's.

Related "The destruction of nature is a path that leads us to suicide», with this lapidary phrase, Gretchen Daily summarizes the need we have, as a species with the intention of staying , to protect nature and the planet that welcomes us.This expert has received the BBVA Fron Foundation Award Theories of Knowledge in the category of Ecology and Conservation Biology together with another visionary ecology, Georgina Mace. This, in turn, underlines the need to "act now" to stop the destruction of species in the Earth.

A small grain of sand to contribute to this objective may be the Garbage Challenge or #trashchallenge that, for once in this type of viral movement, does not pose any risk to its protagonists.

Finally a social media challenge that makes sense #trashtagChoose a place with garbage, clean it and share the before and after...

trash challenge, a positive development in the world of viral challenges

Internet, social networks, smartphones and other digital devices have become the last years in the quintessential tools for the extension of the so-called viral challenges or social challenges , that are actions that are proposed in the digital environment and that are invited to be carried out by users from all over the world .

Any person can propose and join the challenge, with the basic condition that such action be filmed and posted on the Internet to become viral and reach as many visits as possible and likes.

Here we have already talked about how the vast majority of viral challenges border on the absurd and carry a risk for people, which has recently led Orange and the National Police to launch an initiative for the proper use of networks.

This is the case of the so-called "Bird Box Challenge" , inspired by the movie "Bird Box" which consists of going out into the street with blindfolds; the unfortunately famous "Blue Whale" , a sequence of challenges whose culmination is the suicide of its protagonists; or the terrifying "Momo" , that forces to follow the dangerous indications of a strange figure received by WhatsApp.

Only in some cases, such as the #Ice Bucket Challenge , which filled the social networks with videos of people throwing buckets of ice water to raise money against the ELA, these challenges seek a positive purpose, beyond exhibitionism or recklessness.

Therefore, we echo the Garbage Challenge with the hope that it serves to encourage some reader to clean some corner, however small, of this our house that is the planet.
