Facebook offers millions of dollars to record companies in exchange for musical rights

Facebook is willing to pay millions of dollars to major record labels as well as publishers to get the music rights of those videos played by users of its social network , as published by Bloomberg. In recent years, the publication and viewing of music videos on the social network of Mark Zuckerberg has become a very popular trend, however, in many cases, Facebook does not have the rights and must withdraw the infringing material.

To put an end to this problem, the social network has offered to have promised to build a system that allows identifying and labeling music that infringes copyright. However, this solution could take up to two years, a very long period for both parties. Therefore, he would have offered to pay in exchange for musical rights and thus avoid the frustration of its users for unsubscribing videos, of partners for hosting inappropriate content and advertisers for possible legal problems.

New tool: Facebook Watch

Through this agreement , Facebook intends once again to compete with YouTube to become one of the best options for watching music videos protected by copyright. It is worth remembering that in August, the social network announced the launch of Facebook Watch , its new video platform and broadcast of shows in the style of television. This new service , will soon be available both on mobile devices and on desktop and even on TV apps.

The popular social network is testing this new tool that will work as a new Facebook section, so that users can easily access Facebook Watch, just as they have communicated through their official blog, its objective is the diffusion of original content, therefore, it already works with several creators to launch the video portal with exclusive content.

In addition, this service is optimized to help the user discover shows according to their interests , their friends and the groups they like.

IoT objects that send signals without energy? It is already possible!

It is possible that the reader has a command remotely in your home, or several, all of them with several batteries inside, of type AA, AAA or LR44, waiting to feel our urgency to run out.Obviously, it is just at the moment we need to change channel or raise the air conditioner when the controls are turned off. But what if the remote controls, the buttons and even the weather stations didn't need batteries to send their signals ? What if they worked with WiFi waves? And if, in addition, could we print them in 3D with a printer? Vikram Iver, Justin Chan and Shyamnath Gollakota, researchers at the University of Washington, are working on this related idea. Related Buttons that work without energy A team of researchers from the University of Washington has developed a type of 3D printing that, helped by a chip that does not consume energy from a battery or a cable (that is, it is not connected to any power source), it is capable of sending useful information as soon as it i...
