Millennials dedicate 28 hours a week to their mobile apps

Of these downloads, 44% of the Spaniards keep between 10 and 20 installed apps on their device as revealed by Privalia's 'Mobile 2018 Report'.In reality, not all downloaded applications are kept permanently.For 79% it depends on whether they find it useful on a regular basis.In fact, only 14% of respondents indicated keeping all the apps they download installed. The reasons for uninstalling them are fundamentally that they are not what the user expects or that they fail to function (64%), lack of use (60%) and the need for space on the device (30%).


What do Spanish people value in mobile apps?


On the contrary, the most valued by the Spaniards in an app is that cover a need (72%), that it is not very intrusive with advertising (57%) and that it does not consume much data (46%). While it is true that the fact that they are free is highly valued, and eight out of ten respondents state that they are the ones that are downloaded although 18% say they choose to have both, depending on what they offer.


As for the way to discover the applications they download, it is usually given by direct searches (63%), however, on many other occasions they are downloaded thanks to a direct recommendation (51%) or thanks to the social networks (34%) In fact, for more than 80% of Spanish, comments and ratings are very important that the app has in the store.


The top 3 of those that they consider to be massive to have permanently downloaded are those of banking, those of social networks and those of maps or navigation .However, when asked why they are to those who give daily use, those of messaging instant are other great protagonists.

The truth is that offering mobile apps to the user has multiple benefits, including usability, speed and offline availability, which is why many e-commerce companies have opted to develop applications, also due to the high impact on sales which has the mobile channel.So much so, according to Privalia's internal data, the big ecommerce sells 48% more from mobile devices than from the web platform and obtains 64 via this way % of total revenue .In fact, currently 86% of traffic is via mobile .
